The poison within

The Scarcity series was shown in Paris in 2023 as part of a community initiative bringing original art, affordable food and live music to a small Parisian club recovering after COVID. The work addressed food scarcity as both concept and lived reality, in the room and on the walls simultaneously.

A scene of good fats locked in battle with the poisons of processed food. In a society where a box of processed pasta costs less than an avocado, the choices people face aren't really choices at all. Will our little avocado friend be victorious? That's the question the painting leaves open.
