The green umbrella

The Scarcity series was shown in Paris in 2023 as part of a community initiative bringing original art, affordable food and live music to a small Parisian club recovering after COVID. The work addressed food scarcity as both concept and lived reality, in the room and on the walls simultaneously.
 
The Green Umbrella
 
The green umbrella is money. Prices rising, wages flat, the gap between what healthy food costs and what people can afford widening every year. Until you control the umbrella you live in its shadow. This piece doesn't moralize. It just shows you the umbrella and asks you to notice who's holding it.
