This was the first watercolour I sold, at my first market. A pink jellyfish, simple and unhurried, floating in calm water. People stopped and picked it up without hesitation.
There's something about jellyfish that does that. They move through water with no apparent effort and no apparent destination and people find that deeply appealing. This one found its home at that first market and started something.
