The Scarcity series was shown in Paris in 2023 as part of a community initiative bringing original art, affordable food and live music to a small Parisian club recovering after COVID. The work addressed food scarcity as both concept and lived reality, in the room and on the walls simultaneously.

Slow governmental regulation against a backdrop of rising temperatures, shrinking resources and a population that needs to eat. The scissors are there. The string holding the balance together is visible. This painting is about the precariousness of a system that was never designed to absorb what it's being asked to absorb.
