Starting over is never easy. A friend called, rattling off everything that could go wrong. I asked him what was the best thing that could happen. Silence. So I pushed: what's one adventure you could go on to get to your new life? He laughed and said "Like what, going into outer space?"
After I hung up I sketched an astronaut. He needed company so I drew him a bee. A corny dad joke came to mind and I texted it to my friend to give him a chuckle on a tough day.
Why did the astronaut take the bee into outer space? Because he wanted to colonize the moon.
