Wilted sun

The Scarcity series was shown in Paris in 2023 as part of a community initiative bringing original art, affordable food and live music to a small Parisian club recovering after COVID. The work addressed food scarcity as both concept and lived reality, in the room and on the walls simultaneously.

Summer temperatures getting hotter, winters getting colder, growing seasons narrowing from both ends. The world's population is projected to grow by 1.7 billion by 2050. The crops are left to sweat it out under a blazing sun that no longer behaves the way it used to. This piece doesn't offer a solution. It just shows you the sun's face.
